The Nacelle Company, which has produced several documentary series for Netflix, will revive the 80s cult classic animated series Silverhawks.
Deadline reports that Nacelle has partnered with Super7 to produce the new animated series. Super7 acquired the rights to Silverhawks back in January and has previously announced that a new action figure line is in the works.
Silverhawks was an animated series created by Rankin/Bass and aired in 1986. It was compared to another Rankin/Bass creation, Thundercats, but with an outer space sci-fi setting. While it didn’t see the success its fantasy counterpart did, Silverhawks did build a bit of a cult following.
